Friday 9/16/2011 was a beautiful day (picture perfect in my opinion). I knew ahead of time that this day was going to be great for a perfect wedding. The sky was filled with puffy white clouds on a gorgeous blue backdrop and the weather was just right, not too hot; not too cool – the perfect fall day. When I arrived at the Joy’s mother’s house, I was greeted by a seemingly calm bride, but I could tell that she was excited that her day had come. I spent most of the morning and early afternoon with Joy and the others. Before I knew it, it was time for the limo to arrive and head to the church.
At the church my assistant photographer, Rafael greeted Dennis and his entourage of groomsmen. The guys were having a great time taking photos and before long the bride arrived in the limo. Thankfully, we avoided an inadvertent pre-wedding sighting between Joy and Dennis. The groomsmen were quickly escorted to another section of the church to finish photos. PHEW!
The wedding ceremony was very beautiful and I loved the burgundy-filled back wall. The lighting proved to be no challenge for my camera, which was a big plus for me. After the wedding ceremony, the wedding party moved outdoors for formal shots. The afternoon sun was just amazing as well as the church grounds. We blasted through the photos and were granted an extra 10 minutes to get the bride and groom photos before they were rushed off to the reception.
The reception was great. Rafael and I followed Joy and Dennis ready to capture special moments between them and their guests. There wasn’t the usual dancing for everyone, but there were the traditional dances between bride and father and groom and mother. Despite this everyone still had fun, especially with the shoe game. The night quickly wound down and Joy and Dennis were honeymoon bound after the final good-byes on a picture perfect day.
wow Tony. I can’t say enough how amazing it is to see the pictures that captured that PERFECT day! You were so much fun to work with. Dennis and I are both so grateful for your relaxed and happy approach to your work. The results are AMAZING, which I am not surprised, but the process of capturing them was just as amazing. The meeting of our families was divine and I am so blessed to have had the opportunity to work with such a great guy! I am already looking forward to future family photo sessions!! Thank you again for all of your hard work.
